Dr. Renée-Louise Franche holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of British Columbia. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences and Graduate Department of Public Health Sciences, and in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is an associate member of the University Health Network's Women's Health Program.

Franche's research interests focus on understanding the contribution of organizational, individual and health-care provider factors in determining safe and sustainable return to work following an occupational injury. She also conducts research examining the impact of multiple role strain and of work-family balance policies on health-risk behaviours and general health.
